Translation & Reviewing
Let me know if you’d like a quote for a translation (source language/target language), proofreading, text revision, or machine translation post-editing. Each service has its own rates.
Not all texts are created equal.
The translation of a technical text will require more hours of work and research than a text from a general topic and that will show in the price.
Translators and proofreaders get paid per word. If you have a big long-term project it is possible to get a discount.
Word and .sdlproj ( Trados) formats are perfect. No problem with PDF unless it is non-editable PDF (such as scanned documents). In this case it is possible that price increases for the time dedicated to format conversion to make it editable.
Sometimes I get a last-minute/urgent Translation that makes me work like crazy outside of business hours.
I always manage to deliver it on time, but you might have to pay a bit extra.
¡Oh! And don’t hesitate to mention anything else that might be relevant for the quality of the translation, such as the audience it is intended for or technical considerations to bear in mind.
